  • Issue for the Court: Borehole Constitutionality

According to the constitution, if I wish to bring a matter before the court, I must publicize it. This is what I am doing.

As many people have posted, the borehole between Cyclops and Xanadu, is unconstitutional, since it was built without being ordered by anyone, and without winning a poll. As Governor I have ordered it's destruction, and have been overruled by DIA TKG. If said borehole is unconstitutional, then so is his action in not allowing it to be destroyed. Even though it is now polled, the DIA may not order terraforming, that is for a Governor. Since no Governor has ordered it, even after being polled, it is still unconstitutional. Indeed, that poll was to build a new one, and not to ratify an old one.

Furthermore, at the time it was built is what is important, so whether you can ratify an old one would be an issue, as the people will have changed. Some people have said that that would be wasteful to destroy it and then build it again. While that may be the case, it is the only constitutional action, and our faction says we are burocratic, and rule by constitution. We must uphold this, and uphold the constitution. I PMed the serving Judges a few days ago, and now must ask that the case be heard. I call for a case against the constitutionality of said borehole, and, if needs be, a poll for the impeachment of TKG, since he is acting clearly in breach of the constitution (as even he has stated that that borehole is unconstitutional, but still overrules my decision)

It saddens me that it has come to this, but I feel I am left with little choice. It is unconstitutional, and imposed upon Cyclops as well as Xanadu, and as Governor of Akiria, I feel very strongly on this issue. Thank you all, and I am sorry to TKG for this, but as I said, I feel it must be done.

GT cannot take up that position, as it would be having 2 positions for thw AT, which means freezing the game, accordign to the constitution. Wait until Herc is elected tomorrow, then try and get him to order it.

Only if I have to. I really don't want to, and I don't need to now, since you have not blatantly defied the constitution (by retracting you veto).

Since TKG has said that he will remove his veto to the destruction of the offending borehole, and Herc will be elected before the next game is played, there is no need for this case. I am sorry if I caused anyone, especially TKG, and hurt or stress, but I felt this needed to be done. Would GT please close this thread. Thank you
