i have to go with Drogue here....partly....we need a strong airforce to defend our seabases that we are planning near the Hive....because we dont have any groundtroops to back up an invasion we need to build them first before the needlejets...

Why should we wait for ground troops to be available before we start the attack? If we can eliminate Yang's air force (which, once we get Fusion Lasers, shouldn't be that hard), we can just set about blowing up any of Yang's troops within range. I doubt he'll be able to produce new ones fast enough to replace them if we're killing six or so per turn.

Or kill 3 or so per turn, use less combat units, only destory more important untis, and still have much of the desired effect. I don't think we need needlejets on such a large scale. At least wait until we have clean reactors first.

I suppose you have a point about the Clean Reactors there, but I wasn't envisioning an all-out campaign to build needljets right now either, but more what we're going to need to wage an effective war.
