Official: Foreign Affairs: Bartering for Commlinks (final)

We still need one commlink frequency -- that of Sister Miriam of the Believers -- to set up a Planetary Council. Should we barter for it, or wait until we establish contact with exploration to form the Council?

We'll make the trade if Deirdre's asking price garners a 50% + 1 majority for that price or higher. This poll will be open for two days.

Buy if it's less than 100 - it probably won't be over 50-75, so that won't be very restrictive.

Hell, if we can get a Pactmate who has it, we just have to say "Goodwill and friendship" and they'll give it to us for nothing.

Any amount of cash she asks - I've never seen anyone ask more that 75 (if that), though. We're not lacking ECs and I think its worth a small splurge since with the political climate the way it is we'll essentially be buying the planetary governor office (buy commlink, convene council to elect governor, click vote for self, win unless game has very large surprise in store for us).
