I think this impeachment has nothing to do with the periods of time, since Archaic had the time to post two polls on FM, he could have made at least one about Knowledge. So my opinion is that what GT said is no excuse for Archaic.

As Archaicsaid, this periods of leave is just temporarly, so this is not such a big thing.

AS TKG pointed, theres not much term to go, actually, if impeached, Archaic will be impeached on Dec the 29th. So either this impeachment force him to be unable to nominate -- which is useless, IMHO, since if people want to impeach him, they can as well not vote for him if he runs again for DoSE -- either this has no real consequences.

I'd like to point out that my having periods of leave is only a short term thing. It was unforseen events that lead up to it, and those events will be over and done with in the new year.

i don't think we need to impeach him. there's not much term left to go. and besideswhich, we've already had a poll on the subject.

That is true, and he possibly should be given leeway for it, but do we want a DSE that isn't online much? If I was Archaic in this position (of not being able to get online much) I would resign and stand again when I have internet access back again. If he was anything other Director, could we have managed without him for this length of time? Although the problem is we have to stop the game, as it would be the second official gone in a term (after DE).

I do think Archaic was lax in not posting he poll (but posting 2 FM polls) and I do think we need DSE who is online and posts polls/orders, and thus I think we need a new DSE, but the option is stopping the game, and that could be a big problem for participation levels IMHO. Is it possible to appoint someone (possibly the person standing for DSE next term) to take his place if he is impeached? I think stopping the game could be disasterous.

I think it needs to be pointed out that archaic is onyl able to come online every few days, and I know from experience how much there is to check up on after such an absence, so he can hardly be expected to keep up with everything.

The poll in question was made on November the twelve, indeed it is old. But we discovered Knowledge (sounds funny ) on December the fifteen, and if the previous poll was considered too old, he could have started a new one.

Moreover, the previous poll stated clearly "switch to Knowledge at the first opportunity", since we didnt have Knowledge at the time, and all conversations knew that it wouldnt be in a short time.

Well, I don't know... Archaic said we wants to poll himself, but the outcome of such a poll was sure... I want to hear from Archaic before I vote.

Archaic, if I were you, I would try not to be as rude as you usually are... I will judge also the way you express your thoughts (a politician who can't refrain from being offensive is not a good politician).

I have an impression that many people would like to impeach Archaic because of his personal demeanour... Even if he will not be impeached, let this procedure be a warning - we are here for fun, not to offend anyone. I'd rather vote nay, but I haven't voted so far.

Oh, and I've read the thread about yours and Herc's campaign for DSE at last... Shame yourself.

*The unbiased reason why the person in question could be impeached

• Archaic has been elected DoSE on 29/11
• A poll by AdamTG from the 12/11 can be found here and clearly shows that people want to switch to knoledge at the first opportunity -- ie, when available.
• Knowledge has been researched during the turnchat from 2206 to 2208, meaning on the fifteenth of december.
• An unofficial poll started by Maniac clearly shows that, even more than before, people want to switch to knowledge.

All this shows that Archaic has not been doing his job correctly, and even though I recalled this poll for yesterday's turnchat, we're still running on wealth.
