    Official: Region's Focus

    this falls under the category of "advising governors how to run their region" i guess, and is just going to be a loose guideline upon which governors should base their build queues.

    Region 1 (new apolyton, etc)
    Focus on Explore (exploration, ecology, psi, expansion)
    Focus on Discover (prototypes, secret projects)
    Focus on Build (formers, crawlers, base facilities)
    Focus on Conquer (military units)
    Don't focus on anything (or, focus on everything)
    Focus on Write-In

    Region 2 (new suez, etc)
    Focus on Explore (exploration, ecology, psi, expansion)
    Focus on Discover (prototypes, secret projects)
    Focus on Build (formers, crawlers, base facilities)
    Focus on Conquer (military units)
    Don't focus on anything (or, focus on everything)
    Focus on Write-In

    Region 3 (UNPD, new tassagrad, etc)
    Focus on Explore (exploration, ecology, psi, expansion)
    Focus on Discover (prototypes, secret projects)
    Focus on Build (formers, crawlers, base facilities)
    Focus on Conquer (military units)
    Don't focus on anything (or, focus on everything)
    Focus on Write-In

    Region 4 (concordia, terminal dogma, etc)
    Focus on Explore (exploration, ecology, psi, expansion)
    Focus on Discover (prototypes, secret projects)
    Focus on Build (formers, crawlers, base facilities)
    Focus on Conquer (military units)
    Don't focus on anything (or, focus on everything)
    Focus on Write-In

    you may vote for 2 focuses for each region if you so choose. probes fall under discover, i guess, and transports conquer, i suppose.

    Regions 1 and 3 are mostly enclosed, and we need infrastructure and drone controls (badly), and techs are always needed, so Discover/Build.

    Regions 2 and 4 are more open, and we need to keep exploring, but still with the need for infrastructure development and drone controls, so Explore/Build.

      Write-in for all.

      If there needs to be any limits on what the governors can build, let it be done according to what the directors need. Apart from that, I don't care.

      (and I'm tired, and not making much sense)

          I don't think this is about limits, just about a general ethos. It's not really essensial, but I think it helps the Governors to know what the people (and the DIA) wants from them overall.

            There's still an open vote for the number and location of regions, right? So this poll seems premature given that the numbers and all might be changing soon.

            Whatever arrangement of regions we have, however, I don't think a single focus is appropriate for any of them. The situation will dictate a desire, occasionally, for all four priorities. Let the Governors and the people decide what bases produce and why.

              I agree, there will be situations where we should follow other paths, but this is for now, and much of the time we have a choice between a standing army, exploring the rest of Planet, speeding discoveries and SPs and facilities and infrastructure. I think a general poll, just to see what the people want, is a good idea.

                this should be a *very* loose guildeline, and you can vote for more than 1 focus.
