Official: General probe orders pt. 1

I want to have an idea of what people want me to do in the event of an emergency at turnchat or other time when there isn't time to poll individually.

Number 1 of 3 different polls. What to do if we have a probe team at another faction's base with whom we:
1) Are at war

Options:
Nothing at all
Infiltrate only
Infiltrate then steal techs
Infiltrate then steal techs only if they have refused to share techs with us
Infiltrate then steal techs/energy
Infiltrate then sabotage base facilities
Allow everything except atrocities
Allow absolutely everything
Write-in
Xenobanana

allow everything execpt atrocities. not needed. if we are at war i doesnt matter if they catch us stealing something just dont frame anyone

By atrocities I mean actual atrocities, like genetic warfare, that cause all factions to declare war if caught.

Another vote for everything to our advantage. Definitely stealing technologies, as we may have some catching up to do with Yang along certain tech paths. Yang rarely has any real infrastrucutre in his bases to sabotage, but if we could knock out a few hundred minerals worth of SP production, that'd be okay too. Drain his energy reserves, too, if they're high enough to be worth the risk!

You can knock out his perimeter defences too even though there a faction advantage (at least on my version)

Good point! And with little else in the base, it will fall on the first or second hit!

Write in

Infiltrate first, then steal tech as a priority, then MC if possible. If not, sabotage, with preferance given to non Drone or Defensive facilities if we plan to MC later, and preferance given to Perim. Def's if a conventional assult is planned.

I would just like to add the following :

Infiltrate First, before anything else.

When done, focus on Mind controlling the citites.

As a side note, Yang's defence perimiter CAN be knocked down, but it would be a VERY BAD idea to try to do so.

May I remind you that these are EXTREMELY difficult to target ?

Plus we would get the defence perimeter when MC the city ( at least until we've got the CDF)

Well, if we just say 'take out anything', since he has little in his cities, we'll likely knock out the perim. defences soon, so relativly easy to hit. And we'll have the CDF soon, so no need for it to be left there.
