    Can directors be governors?

I would like to run for Director of Social Engineering. Citizens know my outlook and free environmentally friendly Black Stuff (to sample) on me for a while.
Aside (good to get that Lemmy case over, nasty business)

I realised that after I went back and read the threads and amendment proposal. Though technically........could be a case for the UN Supreme Court.

Should the governors be elected already? It's not very clear how this should happen - how to elect, how to decide on regions, whether directors can be governors, etc.

And Hercules: Shall I classify it as an emergency, because the poll about it is running during election time? I've got the right to act as I see fit, then

              I think there's a simple solution.

We elect a DIA, and he has the uber-ministry, and manages everything for a week.

Then we elect the governors, and the system gets up and running.

              Sound okay?

              And on the elections...

              I notice Lemmy hasn't declared a nomination.

I nominate him for Commish, and if he accepts, I'll nominate for Alpha Talent.

But if he doesn't accept, count me in for Commish.

uhm, isn't that a LOT of work? what if we kept on maniac for a week to do the DTC work, and the DIA could to the rest?

Well... that is true, and mucho power. Sounds like a good idea to me. Is Maniac up for it? And has he decided what to run for yet?

                      not yet.

TC orders are huge, but BP and IE orders a less stressful to do.

if only i could be the DoR still...

I wouldn't mind giving those orders, but there's no point if DBTS doesn't follow them.

For the moment I'm not running for anything.
                          I'm thinking about:
                          1) most likely: no position (Reason: I should study a bit more)
                          2) governor of Concordia and all the bases north of it (Reason: my home town)
                          3) commissioner (Reason: let's try if I can execute orders better. Problem: a) lack of time to do more than simply playing once or twice a week and b) unbeatable competition)

I'll be acting DTC for a week if needs be TKG.

Then, if Lemmy's not interested in Commish, I formally nominate for Commissioner.

Fitting, really. I start us off, and then return just over a century later.
