Instead of directly going to the pod, may I ask you let the southern scout first explore some more of the black area? I'll need to know what's there pretty soon if I want to organize decent colonization polls. You could reach the black area soon by going west two tiles and then following the river course upwards.

I'd like to point for the east probe foil that the heightmap shows a small island between the red and yellow line.

agreed, infiltrating is the top priority for that foil.

I propose we wait until we can use a transport foil to collect the pods. AA's and free rovers (no ogres in SMAC, bummer) are excellent finds that would be lost if we used the foil . . .
