  • The Court: Chambers

This thread is for the court to send non-confidential messages to each other.

If you check out the Court reporting thread, you'll see that we've received a case. I distributed the complaint to all the other justices by PM but the PM system is not suited to this stuff (any idea how to send PMs to multiple recipients?)

Please send me your email addresses by PM and I will distribute them to each of us so we can more efficiently communicate.

The first order of business is determining a panel for our first case. Please respond soonest.
What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?

    Three things.

    1. my email is ambivalenthysteria@iprimus.com.au
    2. If the case is still going on Monday, I'll serve on the case...otherwise I'll have to be absent, as I'll be out of town.
    3. read the new base naming poll...some issues came up there which could affect the outcome of the case

(i pmed you about that, but just in case the other justices didn't get that)

I wont be able to serve on the Base Naming case, but I'll prosecute Lemmy.

Pande: pm me your email so I can set up a list.

As for the the Base Naming case, Mr. President and Tassadar5000, are you out there? It seems like the three of us are the panel. Unless you guys aren't around either, in which case I may be forced to run with this myself.

The constitution demands that three justices be used.

If Mr. President and Tassadar don't turn up by Monday, you'll have another justice in me, but we may have trouble finding a third one.

I'm doing Lemmy's trial, so I might not be able to hear the other complaint for a while. (Plus I have exams in real life. )

What constitutes a "real" trial anyway?
Can the court only be used for constitutional issues (only things related to the game itself and how it's played), or also for roleplaying issues (my trial)?

i think constitutional issues have preferance above rp trials....so i think it wrong to divert rescources from 'real' cases to rp cases.....

My first reaction: you weren't informed because you didn't read the three threads where it was mentioned.

However, I thought I PMd you when I PMd everyone else. Unfortunately, when you forward a PM it doesn't keep a copy in your sent items as proof. I'll send you the stuff again.

                              A few things.
I haven't checked my email yet, so I don't know if there's anything there yet.

With the roleplay trials - I'm not keen for us to have anything to do with them. If it's a roleplay case, I don't see why we can't find a few civilians to hear the case. If it's a case to do with the game itself, that's where we should come in - especially at times like now, where we already have another case to deal with. "Real" cases should definitely take precedence.

                              Anyway, I'm back.

If Mr. Pres can get away from the RP case, we should have enough justices to make a decision.
