    From the Apolyton News Desk:
DEMOCRACY GAME VIRUS INFECTS CTP2 COMMUNITY

Following the CivII, CivIII and SMAC communities, Apolyton Medical Centre (AMC) reports that the CtP2 community has now also been infected with the highly infective Democracy Game Virus. This virus gets groups of people to play a CtP2 game together, electing a government to guard the interests of the participants and making important decisions democratically. Discussions on getting the first CtP2 Democracy Game have sprung up in the CtP2 forums over the last few days. To avoid further contamination, these discussions have been put in quarantine in a seperate CtP2 Democracy Game Forum. A warning to all Apolytoners: for your own good, please do NOT visit this forum, or you will be infected with this virus as well, and will want to join the CtP2 Democracy Game. And the more people participate, the more fun it will be, which is a grave threat to the health and well-being of all involved

So, should ACDG not provide you with enough opportunity to spam Democracy Gaming Vitamins yet - and you like (modded) CtP2 as well - check out the CtP2 Democracy Game! We're just getting started, so we can use all the people we can get, especially those who can share their Democracy Gaming experiences with us DG newbies...

Well, it's never too late to learn

I don't know if it would be possible to participate if you have never played the game, CtP is pretty different from other Civ games so some understanding about how things like Public Works, Unconventional Warfare or Stacked Combat work would probably be useful. Obviously, if you don't own or know how to play the game, you can't be a minister anything, but I don't know how well it would be possible to be a citizen or a historian or some other 'non-playing character' (that's got to be the worst way in which that term has been raped ever ). Perhaps people who've (unlike me) actually played Democracy Games before (like you people ) could share their thoughts on that?

Pandemoniak: Nah, everyone's welcome in the CtP2 Community For months we've had fascinating discussions with Sir Ralph as well in the CtP2 General forum, he's always disliked the game as well. Most (but not all ) of us are pretty open-minded, even to criticism... So, unless you despise the game so much you don't even want to set foot in a CtP-related forum, you're more than welcome to join in on any CtP2 discussions, including the Democracy Game ones

Oh, and as far as the mods go, you asked that in 3 different places so I'll just link you (and others who might be interested) to this thread: http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=65244
