I tend not to "beeline" as such, so I voted for that option (sacrilege?).

IndAuto first, and then as much as possible to get to Environmental Economics ASAP. Tree Farms=productive bases anywhere! If I have a tactic in my games, Tree Farms are it (apart from Gravships, but that's a different story ).

Times may change, of course, but in these generic times that's what I reckon we should do.....

I voted well rounded. Ethical Calculus is a must and it's not on here. I would have voted for Gene Splicing, but I want Ethical Calculus for Democrcy, not the later techs it gives. (Intellectual Integrity is great, but it requires the morally corrupt Doctrine: Loyalty).

I'm open to the possibility of beelining -- for example, I'd like to beeline to Eudaimonia at a future point. But for the moment I think it's too restrictive.

I guess the definition of a bee-line would be the path to follow to research a more or less distant tech. Since we can research EthCal right away, it isn't a bee-line and doesn't need to be included in this poll.

I'm for well-rounded - since no one playing style is going to dominate in a democracy game there is no guarantee that the winning beeline will best suit the actual playing choices we make.
