Erm. I just watched the first scene of End of Evangelion... I just had to pause it, close the player, jump up, then sit down on my chair, and repeat to myself: "Ei jumalauta". This roughly translates to "Bloody hell" or "Oh my fuc*ing god".

Methinks I'll try watching it again tomorrow.

*Laughs* Would you believe that, on most peoples first viewings, if they haven't heard about the scene before they don't realise what it is? About 60% of guys and 80% of girls just don't get what's happening there. Can you believe it?

We watched episodes 1 to 22 yesterday, and will watch the films and eps 23 to 26 tomorrow. I think she'll digest it; in my opinion she's even more twisted in the attic then I am.

Does it scare you Kass to know that Shinji was basically Anno's avatar in the series?

I knew it already, but now that you put it that way... But he's a human like us all. This does build up Shinji's character tremendously.

I read somewhere that EoE was the original script for the last two episodes, and that the TV execs scrapped it. I really can't blame them, and I've only seen the first two minutes...

Edit - Christ, it was so absurd that I had to watch it again. *shakes head in disbelief*

Indeed it is. The reason they didn't use it was because they literally ran out of money.
