Okay then, first I'll finish reading your forum.

*sigh* (gets sad over comments about the "evil" Kody)

Go ahead Kody bump everything of interest and feel free to coment as well. I think it will be a great insight into the Statecraft and strategy used.

I my self plan to keep a turn by turn Journal of my expereinces in Morgan (political and strategic) this game and release it at the end of the game. I hope others do the same with their factions so we can have side by side comparison.

Impaler I really did mean I was sorry, I wasn't just mouthing the words.

You know the one thing that did annoyed me most about your faction at the time? (although I didn't mention it... honghu did I mention it to you?) How they didn't defend you, just seemed to let you take the fall in the interest of diplomancy when you were in the right. However, I think that wasn't really the case now I look in the private threads.

          When was that?

I don't lie Maniac, I don't even like being evasive. Also contary to other people's opinion I did want out, and I also wanted Tassadar posting a public announcement that I was banned, because I was hoping the cycon would police the fact I was banned and help keep me away from the ACDG.

The plan worked quite well and I managed to get some serious work done, although I got grumpy at you guys for keeping me away from the ACDG. That's the main reason why I grumpy towards the cycon for so long, although if you asked me during the period I would have stated lesser reasons that I would actually have forgiven ages ago.

Impaler's thing was in the cycon-hive embassy, from where I stood it seemed like you were putting all the blame on him. Even after I admited it was my mistake there was another reference in there saying it was Impaler. However, for some reason I can't seem to find all the thread in there, think it got purged????

Umm yeah I should apologise for such a long standing grudge. Honestly, I didn't realise that I was so grumpy because of that. It was only after the policing to stop me from posting to the Hive stopped that I somehow lost the grudge and started wondering what had changed, and also why I held on to that grudge for so long when I usually forgive people really fast.

So yeah sorry about that. By the way I read some of my old posts made around the end of last year , sometimes it's hard believeing it was really me. Cynical, grouchy, and very authoritrian. I guess the lack of sleep, stress, and the fact I was only at the DG because I felt a sense of duty really affected me.

I have no objection to open access to the forums.

How is it most easily done. Do I just authorise those who apply or is there some other way.

Best way to to authorise people that apply I think. Later I think the admin will make the forums public?

Oh yeah Hive posted a fair bit of diplomancy to CGN, so need to get buster to make those public I think.

I'm wondering, if the private fora are made public, will the civgroups cease to exist, or will be able to keep our faction badges?

It was I who initiated the whole fiasco in the first place (and I hadent even asked for permision and It was not my job to conduct Diplomacy) so I did feel responsible. I was more then willing to "fall on my sword" and take all the blame for the insident so as to keep any potential Blame off Cycon as a whole. I retreated from Diplomacy for a time and didnt make any major atempts again untill the waining days of the PEACE conflict and the Colony Pod Insident when I tried a last ditch peace effort (in retrospect it was far to late to have any effect).

Kody I fully belived and accepted your last apology, no need to make another and I think your blaming yourself too much, I was being rather brash at the time and that was a major contributing factor.

For a second I thought that the private forums are already open.

                        Ok a couple comments.

First I agree with Kody that in the last game it seemed there was an unspoken rule, that is if it is not specifically prohibited then it's ok. There was quite some amount of effort of finding out information through different ways. I would like to say that it is natural. I found that in pbems most people are able to play honorably, even without complicated rule sets. However in a demo game, there are more people and in between waiting for turns we've got more time to think and chat and our curiosity and patience got tested more. Especially when it is hinted or discovered that others are doing things that may be in the grey area, it is a stronger incentive for oneself to do something similar too. This is our first team demo game. I believe most of us have tasted what it is like, and may have a better idea about how it can be improved. For one thing, I firmly believe the next team demo game we will see less "cheating" and/or "rule bending".

Second, when the private forums are opened, I would like to caution people who read other forums to try to remain detached and do not get offended by old comments. Remember posts were made in the past, and people's thoughts and emotions during those circumstances when they made the posts may be very different from what they are now. It's beneficially to learn from reviewing what heppened in the past, but I would suggest we don't get offended, and please do not let new grudges form on old words.

Edit: I already "honestly" told HongHu per PM some months ago how at that time I thought about her. Those statements though were more the frustration of the moment of CyCon and Hive not being able to get along. However I hope it's all forgiven.
