  • Too late to join?

I don't particularly know what I'm doing, having not done this sort of thing before, but I'd like to lend my efforts to the Pirates.

Too late to sign up for the upcoming game? Is that still going to happen?

Unfortunately the Pirates no longer exist, and the game has begun winding down, and thus activity is almost nonexistent save posting the turns.
However, the new ACDG is being planned even now! The avalible factions are the Spartans, the Morgans (you really should choose this one!), the Gaians, and the Data Angels

      Oh, that's sad.

How come you've only got four factions, though? Can't there be the full seven for a PBEM?

There can be, but we decided that we wouln't have enough participants for seven teams

It also speeds up the game to only have 4 teams, last games the University team even disbanded because of low partispation but with 4 teams each will have a larger pool of players to keep up the activity and fun. I think we can all agree that larger teams had more fun this game win or loss.

Oh and Most of the Pirate team in the last game has become the core of the Angel team this game so you can still join that group of seadogs this game but it will need to be in cyberspace rather then the open see.

You can always join the Gaians , they do employ some tactics you might like .

Why don't you join the Spartans? We'll probably be explorers in the beginning like the Pirates are (so lots of activity right from the start). I also see you've got Col(onel) in your nick, so I assume the army will appeal to you.

                    Hmm.

                    It's a tough choice.

I like playing as the Gaians, but I've been meaning to try something new. I've never even tried the Data Angels, and I've never succeeded at Morgan...

And, of course, Spartan ideals appeal.

                    Hmm.

Any idea of the team organization? I hear the Morgan's are issuing stock- is there a way to increase individual share and move up the ladder? That'd be cool.

I thought it is as you describe, but I have to warn you that the Angels will controll the stock eventually. Same for the hangars and weapon stocks of the Spartan Federation, not to mention disapproval regarding the forest crimes the Gaians will be committing.

Edit: in case it was not clear yet, I'm an Angel team member...

Gaian will have an aristocratical structure (details are being worked out still) in which will too be possible to move up the ladder (I must finish this already ). There will be a possibility to gain control of a base or get an coat-of-arms perhaps. (yes Gaians, I am working on this for a week now, and I am getting ready to propose it on our private forum).

I think I'll go with the Data Angels. Flex my conspiracy muscles.

In that case, I suggest you to post your intention in the 'Rollcall thread' (it's topped in this forum) and sent a PM to FlameFlash so he can authorize you in the Data Angels private forum.

                            Welcome aboard!!
