            • Merely asking how the scenario feels. I saw the thread this morning before I went to work.

              • Then this is the wrong thread. I still have to try it tonight (when I finish with my current work).

                      • So did anybody try out Googlie's challenge?

I tried it and it is very enjoyable. I got IA at 2135, missed WP and HGP, but built PTS and VW. My beeline got messed up for a while but I was able to get social psych and EC from the good Chairman Yang (granted that he got IA and GS from me and put him into first in the power graph). So I was able to switch to Demo and start pop booming. Because of PTS my first three workers are fine if I have a scout in the base, and with nodes I can quell four workers. I use specialists when a base grows to size 5. Now a question for everybody. Is it worth it to pursue golden age? If so how should I do it?

Right now I'm at 2159, just got Eco Eng and am researching Env Eco. I'm pact with Aki, treaty with Yang, have comm link for Domai, and truce with Zakharov. Zak gave me super conductor or something like that for IA, and then refused to sign a treaty with me. When I offered to give him a little sum of money he said "my friendship cannot be bought with money". Blah!

                        • I won in 2292 by Transcedence (after losing 6 bases to a Yang PB). Good game I haven`t pursued GA since I was going ICS (thing that I am still learning). I missed VW, WP and XD I think. Might give it another try some day (anyone noticed Googlie gave 20 OPT to each faction - so this is how they are progressing fast).
