  • ***alert*** Houston - We Have A Problem *** Alert***

See my post to the turn-posting thread.

The purported Drones 2142 turn is actually the Hive's 2143 turn.

I don't know what happened to the Drones' turn and am hoping it's just an error in saving the file on the part of the (new) PEACE turn Cap'n

Although, I have heard of situations where the last player in the turn gets skipped in certain situations (such as when a human player gets kicked out of the game without the "self destruction of the last base" routine being followed ) that is not the case here.

Let's see if a PEACE resave solves the problem.

    Problem solved.

In a new manoeuver, in response to their frustration at the CyCon's dealing with them, called The Valkyrie Gambit the PEACE vessels and bases self-immolated.

(Makahlua inadvertently used the "quit" or "resign" feature when saving the game, so it did skip all remaining players and moved directly to the start of the next plan year - minus PEACE)

And a rules clarification is in order too

(Whether it happened automatically on a player "exiting the game" or whether it was another "oops", I don't know)

During Planetary elections for Governor it occasionally happens that in the diplo box there will be a bribe offer to a human player purporting to come from another human player.

Under no circumstances can those be accepted - so use the "bribery will get you nowhere" response. It is the AI talking.

If you accept a bribe, it must have been offered via direct communication with the players concerned, via e-mail, PM (or yes, it could include prior agreement using the in-game diplo boxes)

PEACE units and bases, and PEACE as a faction disappeared from the game (but the PEACE planetary vote still hung in the air in the diplo boxes)

I see... Bye bye PEACE in other words?
Err... what will happen now with all PEACE members? Will they just leave the ACDTG, or join other factions?

Edit: Just saw Googlie's post... Can we know now already for who they voted (as to make negotiations easier)?
Edit2: Ah, I just understood I understood Googlie's post incorrectly: The elimination of PEACE and its 190000 citizens was an accident, no deliberate move!

from Maniac What does that mean?
It was the Ice-9, apparently it's a bit more reactive on Chiron (if you could believe that), so it got a little volatile and it sank the partyboat that was going to drop it in your harbor entertaining friendly faction leaders.
