    It appears that we have reached the limit of landmarks that we can actually put down. Somehow we've managed to use all 64 available landmarks. The hive has used up 12 landmarks, which is porportional to 1/5 of the available. However, I didn't realise that all the other factions were busy putting down just as many of landmarks.

    The CyCon have 1... how many have everyone else put up?

      I didn't know there was a limit. Certainly we have named some islands and parts of oceans on our charts Other factions like to use the landmark facility to earmark potential new base sites and some others to advertise for single females.

      Thinks ! maybe we could auction a few of our sites for mega ecs

              Should we make it a rule that any faction can only use a maximum of 12, and that any over this should be deleted? That seems the fairest way, if there is a limit of 64. And Googlie and use the last 4 as he see's fit.

                Is 64 the limit for custom landmarks or are the normal landmarks also counted? Anyway, we have under 12 landmarks currently in use.

                  That information is confidential at present.

                  We are the Expeditionary and Explorers faction after all. These are our navigational tools to our buried treasure.

                  Nobody said to Captain Cook. "Eh Cap'n, Don't forget you can only name 64 places, So save one for the Cook Islands."

                  Does that 64 limit include the normal game allocation from the pool of game landmarks or those named by the CMN.



                  Anyway we have a couple of Hoardings available to rent if you want to broadcast a message to the Pirate population.

                  Let us know when you come across our other named places.

                    Damn. I suspect we have something to do with this - a while ago Archaic named a bunch of squares as guidance for our abse construction program, and it was likely this that reached the limit. We'll see to it that the excess landmarks are removed when the turn next reaches us.

                      The question of factional limits remains. Shall we go ahead and and create a rule setting the ceiling at 12?

                        Seems sensible. Should be enough for a couple of fun ones and a few for base sits and stuff like that. It seems fair

                          I agree... it leaves enough for every team to have a little fun. Besides, it's extremely unlikely that a situation will arise in which a faction needs more (they may just have to rename some others if they find a better name).

                            We need advice on whether the 64 is for custom landmarks or does it also include the normal ones. I am aware of five normal landmarks featuring.
