It's not so much that the value of the Canadian $ has increased, rather than the value of the American $ has decreased.

I have no particular opinion on the time limit, but if/when such a limit and grace period does expire, I think we should let Googlie do whatever he (or is that He?) wants with the turn, short of deliberate mucking up of things... if he feels like interpreting the private forum discussion and playing thus, then he'll do so; if he just feels like hitting "turn", then he'll do so. I don't think the offending faction would have much grounds for scapegoating or complaining.

I'm in favor of leniency in cases where a faction gives a reasonably-ahead-of-time heads-up about the upcoming "delay of game".

If the University is anything like college that my grandfather told me of, they all must be drinking and sexing and not working too much. I personally blame the corrupting capitalist system.

Well, one reason is that at least one of our three turn players (i.e. me) had a fried internet connection for a week, with predictable effects on the rate at which turns got played. That a good enough explanation for you?

So GT, then why the H@## didn't you bother to at least download the turn while you were on-line making your excuses - your colleagues apparently couldn't even be bothered to do that little in the well over 24 hours that has already gone by since your turn was posted.

Assuming the timestamp by GT's avatar is correct, it would mean that it was (The Cuspidore consults his University ~~Slave~~ Advisor) 10:30PM then - would such a serious scholar be so involved with our decadent and time-consuming hobby?
