holy ****, this game looks good. I was really impressed with how Civ BE looked, but the cartoonier graphics are actually an asset to the animation.

I drew Victoria.

no idea what amenities are yet.

Apparently, you have to keep track of housing too.

there's so, so much going on in this game. I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed in a good way.

110 turns in. civics and government are interesting.

Still on the fence about the hand-drawn map thing, but it fits the aesthetic.

I wish the mini-map was on the right.

when you're trading with another civ, the leaderhead will react to your offer. not sure if there's any further tells than yes/no yet, but it's a nice subtle feature.

so update: I accidentally a culture victory with this game.

can't say i'm a fan of the "set it and forget it" nature of the culture victory. I liked the interaction of civ 5 with the use of great musicians.
