I don't believe I've seen Scythians before, in any game.

The name is something of a historical catch-all for "mounted Turkic barbarians from somewhere around the Black Sea." There's never been a Scythian Empire as such, so it's somewhat puzzling that they'd include one.

I guess they wanted to include a new civ, and all the real ones had been done before? I hear they included Poland, of all places, in the last one, and they were only sort of regionally powerful for a single century or thereabouts.
