Save before taking screenshots under Civ V G&K

Well, as the title says.
Gods & Kings seems to have severe stability issues with regards to the screeenshot function that is supplied by the Steam overlay.
There seems to be a 50% probability that the game will stop working after pressing the button that you have assigned for screenshots and you will bite yourself into your ass, if you haven´t saved the game beforehand
