superfluous splash screens

I know I shouldn't complain about minor things when there are so many major things to complain about. But does anyone else get tired of all the meaningless splash screens. By this I mean the extra screens when you accept a trade offer and you get a new screen saying thanks. Or the screen saying you like who I like.

I think the game would play smoother without these wasted screens.

The 'Thanks' screen doesn't bother me but the mutual friend one I could do without. With the lack of information available to the player in diplomacy terms, why bother with that?
