  • Undocumented rule changes

Last time I loaded up a game, took my submarine and wanted to sack a transport ship only to find out that it fires on it instead of moving over it. The transport survives. Same with a destroyer. Okay I haven't played much with 1.0.1.275, but I have read the changes list and this one isn't there. It's pretty significant change though!

Also strange rules: An artillery in a city bombarded and sunk my submarine (how's THAT possible, how's it even visible when the AI just had a frigate and an ironclad!?). Can cities see submarines? I thought only destroyers can attack submarines.

Who did the transport belong to? There is at least one civ, maybe two (can't recall) that have transports that can defend themselves.

Not sure about the sub fired on by artillery. Maybe a city can see anything in its nominal radius.
Rule 37: "There is no 'overkill'. There is only 'open fire' and 'I need to reload'."

Hmm you're right this could be. I'm fighting against the Songhai empire.

Songhai transports can defend themselves, it's one of their civ traits.
