Its an interesting concept, but will not be appealing to vets. It greatly restricts the individual and depends on the team. The game will be crippled by players who have multiple facebook accounts. By restricting each player to a single city players are dependent on the collective power of a team that pays $$$. They should have made a base construct similar to Heroes Kingdom than Evony. If resources are scattered randomly I hope they have cleverly constructed their random resource generator or players will face the same problems they did in occ games. 1 city will mean that players will probably be unable to conquer other cities and instead can only disrupt or pillage other cities at best. The pillaging will be a huge turn off for their target untapped demographic, but the lack of individual reward will be a huge turn off for vets, especially the ones who have no chance of making it into the top 20 on the server. I will bet my weight in gold that there will be only a single logical tec path and I will figure it out within 10 hours of the game's release. The strategy of this game will depend on convincing the team as a whole to go along with a specific strategy. The prime strategy of the game will revolve around finding and forming a team as soon as possible and utilizing collective research to reach key tecs the fastest. With fewer checks and balances players who take an early lead will have a huge advantage because all they will need to do is sit back and defend with minimal focus on offense. This is a turtle strategy type of game that discourages heavy warfare due to a lack of incentive. Like Risk if you focus on attacking a close enemy another enemy across the board will gain a huge advantage by not dealing with warfare, hording resources, and focusing on tecs that multiple economic/research bonuses. Any luck in this type game will create a huge unfair advantage.. so they will be forced to dramatically limit the value of luck. I also foresee a lack of conquest victories. Feeding individual players lots of resources will determine who is ranked the highest on the server, which is super lame. This is the reason why they did not allow any vets into the alpha testing. The mini quests will inevitably prove to be a huge source of grief because the top players on the server will depend on them and the average player will lose out on them because vets will have the best strategies for completing them, but it will still be outclassed by the guys with multiple accounts. There will be heavy manipulation of the auction house that will also prove very troublesome.

Of course people will cry, JUST WAIT FOR THE GAME TO BE RELEASED AND YOU WILL SEE, but like always, I will be correct in my predictions and everyone will inevitably say: "well I guess MGT was right once again".

Hmm, I guess it does extend the franchise but it doesn't seem like something I would enjoy.

Making assumptions and then drawing conclusions based on those assumptions is always a bad idea.

Considering MGT is a writer you would think he knew how to use paragraphs but then again maybe not

Regards CivVille I'll probably play it when it arrives since CiV is pretty dead MP wise maybe this is the "Awesome Multiplayer" game I've been waiting for.............................

I would also guess that we do not need Civ World forum either, and that we can happily merge all the forums into two - Civilization and Other Games + off Topic.
Socrates: "Good is That at which all things aim, If one knows what the good is, one will always do what is good." Brian: "Romanes eunt domus"
GW 2013: "and juistin bieber is gay with me and we have 10 kids we live in u.s.a in the white house with obama"

Hey, I suppose it's possible it will be awesome but CivVille just doesn't seem the type of game to float my boat.

I was going to reply, and then realized I didn't have anything new to say.
