Finally got CIV V

I actually did end up losing...on a diplo victory! the French! Wow, so to win a diplo victory, all you need is money. because you just buy ebough city-states, that's it! Because the system has everyone vote for themselves, it really kills it. that might be something to change......

Yup, first time I was close to a cultural victory with India, less than 10 turns from the win, and England bought enough CS to win the diplomatic victory.

Sounds more like an old fashioned Chicago election.

What gets me is it seems you need only 10 votes, even if you are playing on a larger map and there's 30 votes going around.
