  • Can't move through CS territory

    Hello all

I've been playing some games where I suddenly can't move into or through a city states borders. What triggers this? Is it because they are angry with me?

    It's actually quite annoying sometimes.

Hmm, are you sure your unit just hasn't run out of moves? If you move on top of a mountain or through a marsh or cross a river then that uses up all of a unit's moves.

It's definitely not that. I've had ships sit outside of their borders for several turns waiting for the border problem to disappear (The border was blocking a pathway between the arctic and a major continent).

I've had success removing it by buying an alliance with the CS. But other than that, I can't figure it out. It's happened in more than one game now since the patch.

Are you certain there isn't one of the CS's workers on the tile? The reason is you can have one of your units on the same tile as one of your workers (or an ally's worker) but you can't be on the same tile as a neutral state's workers even with open borders.

Nope, not that either. I'm sure there might be a completely lame explanation, but that isn't it either. I had complete visibility of the area.

Weird, I don't know what the problem is then because I have never experienced it on my system.

It's happened to me in the past but don't know why. I had been previously at war with them as they were allied with an enemy civ. Perhaps it's because they're allied with a civ whom you don't have open borders?

This might be it. It matches the same conditions as in my game.
