  • CIV 5 DLC -- just say, "no."

I encourage all to boycott all further revenue generating efforts by 2K until such as a time as they can make CIV 5 a game worthy of playing. Offering to sell us DLC for this horrifically flawwed game is insulting.

FIX the damned game, then sell us add ons.
There is nothing more dangerous than a large group of naive americans led by a moron.

The new civs are the only thing that keep me playing it. It seems like they spent better design work on these than the ones that came with the game.

This game is terrible. I haven't played it since the first week. There isn't even anything I can do modding-wise that makes it fun. And the fact that they want to try and make it a $100 game with all this DLC crap is just ridiculous. Judging from all the media hype the game got, I'm sure they used the cash to pay for positive reviews. Such is the business model in gaming nowadays.
To us, it is the BEAST.

I bought the first two DLC civs and I paid $10 extra to get the special edition but even I have my limits. They won't be getting any more from me until MP works, period.

I paid more than $100 for Civ 4. So I don't see what's so ridiculous about the new sales model.

People will do what they want no matter what others say... I'm sure many will continue to buy whatever they offer.

However, like many, I'm going to wait until they get the game working better before buying any extras. And hopefully, many of them will be sold later in a bundle
                Keep on Civin'

I think it is pretty stupid to say "no" to DLC. I mean DLC can't hear you, can't talk or understand.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so
certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

The company will take notice if no one is buying their DLC though.

civ 6 will not come faster just cus you dont buy the civ 5 dlc. might even take longer. personly i hope they get time to expand on it cus i think it got potential to be a great game.

that beeing said, iam not paying money for a map pack. that is just ridiculous.

Map packs used to be free. The whole point of steam is to make us pay for **** fans used to do for free and that I cannot abide.

Are you saying fans aren't doing it for free anymore?

If you're not, then your conclusion is invalid. i.e., that isn't "the whole point of Steam."
