  • What is the unit on the back of the box?

A friend of mine was looking at the Civ V box in the store tonight and he asked me what that unit was on back the box at the top right. I could not answer him. What is it? It shows they have it selected and it looks like a land crawler with a shuttle or something on it. What the heck is this? I have not noticed anything that looks like this in the game yet.

I don't know which piece it is but it's one of the space ship parts.

I would assume so as well....
if you look at the top row of the same screen shot,
to the right of the mountain, you see another transport with a different spaceship part,
      headed for the same city
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. I arrive on winds of blessed air. Air that you no longer deserve."
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "He has fallen in battle and I must take him to the Einherjar in Valhalla"

That's the SS Cockpit. If you don't build it in your capital, that's what it looks like while travelling.

I don't know since I bought the game on steam and haven't even seen the box.

That explains it then since I have not built any of those parts yet and never tried to read anything in the civilipedia about it, I just assumed that part of the game was like the rest. If I understand, the parts can be built in different cities but have to be transported to the capital and when they are transporting that is how it looks? If so, thats yet another change in Civ5 that is great. If this is correct, that means while under transport to the capital, a part can get attacked and destroyed? That could make things ugly quick if you are in a space race with another civ and lose a part.
