  • Bug: Cannot finish tutorial for roads connecting 2 cities.

    Hi all!

Not sure if this has been posted before, I have been attempting to play the tutorials just for any extra info, and when I have definitely connected the 2 cities with my capitol the actions completed at the top center of the screen do not show it. Also when I exit this "Roman" tutorial and look at the tutorial selection screen it is still not finished.

All other tutorials run fine and all other completed actions are checked off for this one too.

Why will the roads I have built not connect the cities even though I see that they are, and I clicked from one city to another using the button.

oh, and I have tried this 3 times and its the same every time.

I had to build an alternative net of roads, around the cities, to connect them.

You can't finish it because none of your cities is the capital. You must build the palace in one of them.

So you're saying that "Rome" was not the capitol of...
That seems strange that the first city would not have a "Palace" in it right up front like "all" civ games have. (doesn't surprise me though so I'll go check it out today when i get back home)..

To be honest I would have been stumped had a friend not had the same issue as you and tried it multiple times until he figured it out. Thankfully it only takes 1 turn to build.

Completed! Yeah!!! I now know I'm Stupider than Jupiter...

The thing really did not put the palace in any city and they did not explain it at all...

sounds like a 2K product named Civilization IV..

              Welp back to gaming..

Thanks to all who shared here..

Oh. So that's what I was doing wrong.

I just assumed it was a bug and moved on to the next tutorial, hehe.
