As I really enjoyed last nights game (6 players small inland sea with CS) I would like to repeat that.

But because of technical issues it does not seem a good idea. The duel game I did after that with jobe worked fine (even that had some lag the first turns). As there seems to be no way of improving technically ourselfes we might have to wait for the Pitboss server.

Or does anybody have a better idea?

Do 4 player games work better?

So far duels seem to be the best option. Patches will improve the rest, I suspect. Civ4 also came not that good out of the box, MP-wise, but was patched later.

The ffa worked decently imo, as good as the duels.

- The drops of bumcyk were due to his buddy streaming thorugh the same connection, I played him later and it worked well.
- The inial megalag I have in duels as well, so no difference here.

I think we should try ffa as well again soon...

I wonder if the inclusion of CS made a difference? The more work the AI has to do in a SP game, the longer it takes between turns. One would assume this same additional work would carry over to increased MP crashes.

Although TBH we really didn't run into serious trouble until that 3-way war.

Still, I'd be willing to give it another shot. Time to head to the chat and see who is around...

I didn't think it was possible to lose that quickly. I didn't even have my first production completed by the time your warrior was harassing my city. Your strategy is pretty powerful.
