Where can I find Apolyton's Civ2 maps. I want to convert a few to civ 5.

Never mind. Iso-to-Hex didn't work on the conversion tests.

Hmmm... Mercator's mapedit can export the map to a square BMP. Exporting this back to a hex grid wouldn't be as hard as converting an isometric grid?

Actually I've been wondering if a 2 hex by 1 hex conversion for iso grids would work.

But still, Mercator's site is good, but I've misplaced most of my civ2 maps. I usually transfered my files between computers, just for such an occasion.

the 2x1 is a viable solution, however with civ 5 limit of 128x80. I'm limited to finding a 64x80 iso map. the square to hex maps don't look right do to stagger.

N35t0f: how does the Mercator to BMP to Hex work?

His MapEdit utility (in his site, here ) can export Civ2 maps to bitmaps.

He's got a large collection of maps as well.
