Real ranged attacks

Finally units like archers aren´t just another type of melee unit that just gets different boni, but can do real ranged attacks (making them extremly powerful, especially if accompanied by melee units).
This definitely gives more strategic depth to the combat system

I totally agree with this. Other than the beautiful graphics, this is my favorite of the few improvements Civ 5 made over 4 (and its expansions).
