    Also, once you achieve something it's unlocked forever. So really, getting a no achievement game would be pretty straightforward.

    Win one game as Alexander on chieftain level on duel map. There's three achievements. Repeat and voila, no achievements!

      Why does Civ need achievements. It seems every game coming out these days has them.

      Is this to keep the console generation happy? I thought Civ would be safe from these annoyances.

      I just want to play the game, and win, not get rewarded for climbing up a hill, or whatever. Perhaps if they spent more time programming the game to make it the best they could...

          Turns out I wasn't getting achievements because they do not count in MP for most things (eg, Second City, etc).
          I almost always play MP, so that sucks.

            I have 40 I think, but i've been playing for awhile.
            It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
