Well, less than three days AND I can play the demo tomorrow 11 AM, brazilian time... If I'm not wrong.

From the countodown on Steam, it's 7 AM. They change on the hour. There's another countdown I saw that indicated it would be 6, but I'd have to have some real sleeping problems to be up that early.
        What's up, hot dog?

You Brazilian folks have a funny way of measuring time

Really though... I feel for you, at least until the game unlocks tomorrow. Then I doubt if I'll feel much of anything

I'll try to remember to post some screenshots of the industrial/modern eras, since you can't get those with the demo. Of course, like I said, I doubt if I'll be back on here for a few days/weeks/months/years?

          Edit:

Seems like the rest of the world will play the demo until we got it too. And ohhh yes, make some time to send messages about the game, and place screenshots on the web! Tell the world what you think about the game.

              Can't wait either

As a consolation prize, I'll play the demo... If the busy servers let me.

You should sue. That's discrimination on the basis of geography!

The whole world should sue 2K! Only USA residents and maybe a few countries more will have this privilege.
And I simply couldn't get any explanation about that from 2K or Steam.

I have a few theories off the top of my head.

                              1. The people who get to play the game first are guinea pigs for some sort of Civ-based mind control experiment. If it's successful, the project will be taken global as scheduled.

                              2. They want to be able to use your money for a few extra days before the costs of delivery affect their balance sheets. Every little bit counts. After all, video game sales are down 8% this year.

                              3. People responsible for this decision are upset that American cities lost out on the 2016 Olympics and are deciding to punish consumers from Rio. This would be the most diabolical because this policy is not specific to that region. Hence, 2K and/or Steam is punishing many other countries just to spite Rio.

                              I'm leaning towards #3.

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so
certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.
