The original Sid Meier's Civilization was the first Civ game I played. I have since purchased every game in Sid Meier's Civilization series as well as Alpha Centauri and its expansion Alien Crossfire, the two Call to Power games, and Avalon Hill's Advanced Civilization.

Played them all in order from the beginning.

          Three was terrible, though.

Sounds a little bit sarcastic? You are a member here with lots of posts.. that means that the last 2 civs (civ3 en 4) you played so mutch that you worn at least 10 mouses with those games?

Civ4 is so far the best civ game in the world (that is my opinion)
Civilization is a game where man dominate a fictive world.. woman does it for real

Actually, I was quite active 10 years ago (jeez...how time passes) and worn my mouses playing Civ2 multiplayer.

Nice to see you post again SmartFart!

Yeah... Played many, many Civ2 MP games as well... especially since Civ III sucked
But you really should have tried Civ IV. The BTS release of the game is the best Civ MP game yet.

Who knows what Civ V will bring, but we will still have Civ IV
                    Keep on Civin'

Civ1 on Amiga 1200 but the version I really fell in love with was Civ II on a 233 mHz(overclocked to 266mHz!!) PC.

I started with the first Civilization, on my (well, my dad's ) first PC.
                            Seriously. Kung freaking fu.

The original Civilization on a state-of-the-art 386/40 processor system with a whopping 8 megs of RAM! Missed Civ II because I didn't have a computer at the time, and picked up again with Civ III.
