  • Colonization : bug with price system?

    Hello all

    I recently had the desire to play at Colonization again. But I'm facing a bug never seen before : the prices system doesn't work for the AI, they remain always the same (checked with the cheat system), as well as it needs only the minimum amount of crosses and bells to gain new units and Fathers (while the human player requires more and more crosses as he goes along)
    .
    OK, it gives a help to this dumb AI, you could say. The problem is that the AI buys a lot of muskets and horses, give them to all its units.... and doesn't practically develop its colonies!
    (And the human player's prices raise far faster, BTW)
    The game has lost all its interest...

    I was a big fan though, when I played at it on my 486. I had no such problem at that time. Now I lost one of my floppy disk. A friend gave me his version. Perhaps is it a problem of version? But that friend told me that he encoutered no pbm...

    Does anyone have a clue? or have had the same problem

    I haven't investigated the mechanisms of Colonization that mush, so I haven't noticed it.
