  • I created a 'random' map generator

    Yeah, you read it right!
I have created a system to create a random map using tiles.

This file: http://www2.plompweb.net/map.zip consists of about 28 pages with a total of of about 100 square tiles.

Print the tiles out, stick them on strong paper. (pherhaps even plastic, or something strong. remember it's a map!!)

Now use your brains to lay down the tiles in a good order. Not every tile fits next to another tile. And some can only be laid down in 1 position. (the coastlines and the territory borders should move fine into each other)

    I'll post some examples soon.

Here are two examples, there are 4 tiles in this example:

If we lay the tiles down this way, it doesn't work:

    The territory-borders don't work.

But try the other 'corner-tile' and things work:

The 'example map' above is slightly outdated.
I have improved several tiles and I have added some.

but the general idea is the same.
