Dumb questions (MoM)

I dl'ed MoM from Underdogs, unzipped it, deleted the install file (something said to do so...), ran the other install file and configured it. Err... now how do I run it? Did I do something wrong?

Where am I supposed to put the files anyway?

P.S. I am using Windows XP, if that makes a difference. And it does!

I have not any experience with windows XP, but the game is started with the magic.exe executable. It may be started by the wizards.exe too (that one automaticaly loads the autosave). You can create a shortcut to it if you want. If the game does not want to run there can be 2 problems:
1) you did not configured the sound properly - try with different settings, or no sound if you give up.
2) there is not enough free conventional memory - I cant give much advice for that on XP, but the "no sounds option" reduces the necessary amount ....
