  • the board game is like the pc game...

the board game needs a patch.

There are 800+ pieces but nothing to put them in. There are two decks of cards but no card holders. There are dice cardboard pieces so on... but nothing to keep them sorted. The rule book tells us that red colored corners on pages are for advanced play and black colored pages but really the colors are reversed.

My friends initial reaction was the game is broke. We are currently making our own rules.

    So far:

    Sequence of events
    1. diplomacy (nonagression pacts, cease fire, talks, disarmourment resolutions, trade embargos, trades, etc.)
    2. make combat/noncombat moves
    3. buy pieces
    4. trades go into effect/ collect money

    Also:
there are nukes, no rules for them yet

techs are bought in groups of 3-5 for an unknown price

In the end I need time and a light load of work from my professors to test and finalize all rules
I would rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotamy

Actually, although a few of the rules are unclear, the basic idea of the rules works pretty well (especially when you add the errata). And I don't remember ever seeing anything at all about nukes, i don't know what you're talking about there. Yes, tehre are little errors here and there in teh rulebook, but they do not make it hard to understand, especially when you get the errata. The lack of things to hold the pieces is annoying though (i got around 10 little bags to hold the different types of pieces and put them into 2 big bags)
