  • Has the CIV game board been released?

    Does anyone know if the Civilization board game by Eagle Games has been released yet ? or when it will be released ? Thanks in advance if anybody knows.

            Or you could just try and find a copy of the original board game...the one the computer game is based on...

              Civilization: The Boardgame is a totally different game then the original Avalon Hill Civilization boardgame. In fact the new Eagle Games Civilization boardgame is actually based on the Civ3 computer game, and captures the "feel" and game dynamics of Civ3 without trying to faithfully replicate the rules built into the computer game (that would make the boardgame ridiculoulsy complicated). If you go to Eagle games website (http://www.eaglegames.net/) you can download a copy of the rules in PDF format from the "resources" area. The Civilization boardgame forum (http://eaglegames.zeroforum.com/zeroforum?id=2) is also very active with the founder of Eagle Games (Glenn Drover) an active participant.
