    1. Ancient age science screen is messed up: the boxs for the advances are in wrong places, and the arrows are either lacking or the wrong way. Other science screens are fine.

    2. Civs are not destroyed until all of their units are. THis is maddening because when a civ has only one scout left, there is no chance for you to find it. In the earlier version, once the civ lost its last city, it was dead.

I just checked a current game under the new patch and there is no evidence of anomalies anywhere in the tech tree. Also, I eradicated England and didn't experience anything unusual. Now, all I "knew" they had was a galley. But, I still got a 'extinction' message.

Send a saved game to MacSoft at infogrames/support. I don't recall the correct email address.

OMG, that is horrible. Have you tried to uninstall the patch and then reinstall? You may have to trash the entire apllication and reinstall Civ3. I've not seen anything like this.

I did reinstall Civ3 once w/out deleting the first install. I got a bunch of weird stuff.

Yeah, I unistalled civ3 and the patch, then tried it all again. it was still the same. However, the backround changes according to which advisor youve been to. If you go to the Foreign advisor, you will see those circles in the backround. If you go to science advisor and then to the medieval age (which works fine) and come back to the ancient age, you will have the medieval age arrows pointing everywhere.
