No score computed!

I'm playing MGE under OS 8.6 and the only problem I've had is the crash-upon-quitting problem (~1/3 of the time)--until now. For the past few games, the game won't compute a score! When I try to see my Civ score during the game, it comes up with a score window that says the score has been calculated, but has no other info!

Has anyone else run into this problem? I haven't tried reinstalling yet, btw.

I have never seen that sort or problem before. Of course, I went back to just plain old Civ II after realizing there was no fix for the crash-upon-quitting bug.
