On an update to these kinds of issues... Sonnett has just announced up to 1GHz upgrade cards for the Mac. They run at about $800 USD and supposedly work in all AGP equipped older G4s... for those of you with even older machines (or cubes) they offer other alternatives that do drastically increase the speed of your computer.

Drop in a newer harddrive and add on an external superdrive and you're set almost as good as a newer G4 Dual tower at about half the cost.
