Civ III Mac article on Inside Mac Games
Inside Mac Games has a small article (posted this AM) about Civ III, preview comments from Game Spy and notes that the Mac version should arrive about the same time as the PC version! There's a bit o' good news!

edit/ he's right. February 2000 isn't that bad. I'm sure it won't be too hard a game to port, given its probable nature, but still...
