who is making mac games or conversions?
anybody left?
What? a year or so ago there was all this buzz about games following the good imac sales..but we haven't seen that much.The only thing that matters to me in a MP game is getting a good ally.Nothing else is as important.......Xin Yu -
Westlake Interactive (www.westlakeinteractive.com
) makes all the major mac conversions - The Sims, Deus Ex, Alpha Centauri, House Party, Livin Large, etc - Aspyr publishes all those, along with Elite Force, Escape from Monkey Island, and a few others I can't really remember. Macsoft gets Rainbow 6 and variants, along with Driver, etc.
With the selection of Mac games is definitely inferior to the pc side, the quality is closing in, seeing as every production for an apple machine is a very expensive for the "small" dev companies.
So, without Westlake, mac gaming, IMO, would probably fall apart.Comment
