      Am I the only one still playing SMAC? Sure, Diablo's a great game, but how much twitch do you need? SMAC satisfies the body *AND* the soul.

        Yeah, seems like some people cant even find the 7 minutes it takes for their SMAX turn...and as long as I cant do multiplayer D2 I wont even start it again, it just gets boring

          I'm of the opinion that if you can't play your turn in a timely matter or just don't have the time to at least get one turn per day played, then resign and let the others play without delays.

          Sorry for the rant, but it's frustrating.

                  I received the turn from iMac. He said he resigned, so I guess this will mean a speedup in the game. I'm at work now, but I'll send the turn along to Qualicide when I get home.

                    I'm posting this here as well to make sure everyone sees it:

                    Problem.

                    I got the turn from iMac, but it was still his turn. I tried to "resign" several times, but it was still iMac's turn! I then started trying to just end turn, and then it skipped several turns!

                    The turn I got from iMac was iMac #2128
                    the turn that gets created (I tried several times to make sure) is Ashman #2129

                    The order we had (and please correct me if I am wrong) was:
                    Illiria (Planet Cult) --> kaesmayr@topmail.de
                    iMac (Cyborgs) --> imac722@aol.com
                    Flomper (University) --> bobsavage@mac.com
                    Qualicide (Drones) --> erobert2@rochester.rr.com
                    Ashman (Pirates) --> brimhall@xmission.com

                    This means that the following turns were skipped:
                    Flomper #2128
                    Qualicide #2128
                    Ashman #2128
                    Illiria #2129
                    Flomper #2129
                    Qualicide #2129

                    I am hesitant to say this is acceptable. I sure don't want to miss two turns unless I really have to. Does anyone know of a way to prevent this? If not, I guess we can just continue with Ash's turn at #2129.

                      depends, i wasnt doing any really important stuff so i would have to see the turn first before i could judge, at worst i might lose a turn on building a coloney pod or former move

                      just get imacs password, then we can simply resign for him, that might work

                            Yes. Mine sat around, too. That was a definate bug. Hrumph. Too bad noone will ever fix the game. There are some changes I would like to see.

                            *F* (at least it's moving again. It *is* moving isn't it?)
