  • Hacks and patches for Mac-CtP

The CTP1 and Patches Thread mentions hacks for using mod packs and especially for leaving out the CD during game play. Are there Mac equivalents that I should look for? I have installed the 1.2b Patch.

In the A few Gerneral questions about macCTP Thread, Ashman wrote that one should create a disk image of the CD to get around the CD requirment. Now ignoring the amount of disk space that would eat up, if one did this, could a LAN be set up between two computers for multiplayer games (one with the actual CD and one with a disk image)?

I'm not sure about MODs, but it can't see why the PC ones wouldn't work on the Mac. In our PBeM games we are using the Dutcheese MOD to speed up the early game.

With a disk image of CTP on one machine and the actual CD in another, you could probably play a LAN game. I haven't tried it, but it seems possible since CTP doen't require CD key.
