        Turn 25 --> Ashman

        Noted the Korean establishment of an embassy in Russia. Offer it as an exchange... have nearly finished my research. The southern continent i am exploring seems to be totally uninhabited.

              I am now researching Industrial Revolution. I propose that we hold off on researching Age of Reason. Due to the dire straits of the Mexican economy, we need Stonehenge in operation for as long as possible.

                The russian Tsar is agreement with his Korean counterparts.

                Also, because you cannot request gifts, i have been *forced* to demand two advances from Mexico -- so i hope you don't mind I have offered a map exchange to both Koprea and Mexico and the year is progressing well with sitings of ancient monuments in the southern continent. Perhaps i may uuncover new technologies for us?

                  TSAR ABDICATES IN FAVOUR OF HIS ORTHODOX MINISTERS

                  The russians are changing to a new more productive theocratic government. They ask that there allies hold firm in support during this change.

                  A map exchnage has been offered to show the new lands of russia, in the south where cossack cannon mercenaries have been discovered.

                  Tblisi has grown in size over the last few years. It was noted by a small delegation from the russian embassy in Mexico of the completion of Stonehenge.

                          That sounds good to me as I'd rather not lose labyrinth until I can build some caravans.

                              2650 BC ANARCHY STILL REINS

                              The new government is still yet to form in russia. Amidst the warring, exploration of the southern continent has continued unhindered by the small domestic crisis occuring in Russia.

                              Naval production has been circumscribed in favour of developing internal and external trade routes. St. Petersburg has again grown in size (7), plans are being considered for moving the capital here.

                                2650 BC BASTON BECOMES PATRIARCH OF ALL RUSSIA

                                A married priest in Moscow for ten years, Baston, after his wife died, became a monk and was eventually elevated to the positions of archbishop of Novgorod (2645 BC) and patriarch (2648 BC). Enjoying the friendship of the Czar, he affirmed the absolute superiority of the church over the state and swore the czar to obedience. Baston is presently proceeding to establish an opulent patriarchal court to rival that of the czar's. At the same time, he is undertaking to reform present Russian liturgical practices. Through these reforms, which include a revision of all liturgical books, he believes that Russia will become the spiritual as well as the political bulwark of orthodoxy worldwide.
