What is the scenario? That sounds like the general instructions for playing a scenario in MPG: dump everything in the scenario folder. Perhaps MPG is needed for this scenario. Most of the complicated scenarios were created using FW which is included in MPG (although some would take expection to that statement due to the AI ).

If you want to purchase MPG it can be had for $19.99 USD from MacSoft and right now they have a "buy 2 games and get a $10 rebate." MacZone also has it for $19.99.

If you are trying to play it on regular single player Civ2 it won't work.

You'll need to convert any .gifs.

        a .mp is a map.

a .sav is a regular save game. You could try that one.Put it in the civ2 files folder and load saved game.

Scenarios MUST be in the scenario folder to work.Any saves of that scenario also.

        I don't know what a .log is.

Have you put it thru one of the MAC scenario converters?

Ok I read it again and it says "overwrite".

go to Civ2files/support.Make a back up copy of what needs to be replaced or just copy the whole thing.

Convert .gifs to .picts.Graphic converter will do.

Simply drop them in the support folder.Should get a pop-up"xxxxx allready exists,do you want to replace?"
The ones you should be replacing are possibly all pict files and most likely a rules.txt.

There are some changes that should be done to game.txt but they are not vital.

Any .wavs are sounds and need to be converted to .aiffs.Same procedure cept youput them in the sounds folder.

You will not be able to use any events.txt with original civ2.Events are pretty much the heart of any scenario.I would not recommend playing without it.
