Ok, I downloaded and coverted the scenario End of the Bronze Age and Seeds of Greatness recently and encountered a problem. All the unit shields are red! This has never happened to me before, and I have downloaded many, many scenarios. Also, the events.txt file doesn't play the sounds its supposed to.

    Can anyone fix these problems?

I don't know about the first problem. What did you use to change the .gifs?

    The 2nd problem:
In the events editor you can add sounds by adding play .wav file.Mac doesn't know what a wav file is.You have to open the events.txt and change the line play .wav file to play .aiff file.

The graphics were .bmps. I used Graphic Converter to convert them.

Could you tell me where I'm finding these two scenarios?
        Thanks.

            Well Majesty
For these two scenarios, what I can get after what is for me a correct proceeding (Stuffit, Converting Scenario, Graphic Converter, Claris for the Game.text file) is "Civ2Gold 1.1 quit, -2 error".
Let's pray for a civ2MacMessiah or a ConverterEinstein at least.

Some of the .bmps are different resolutions than Civ2 can use. Try changing the resolution to 72 ppi and uncheck Convert Picture. I should have mentioned that. Sorry.

Open the file in Graphic Converter. Go to the Picture menu and select Resolution. Uncheck the box that says Convert Picture and change boththe horizontal and vertical to 72 ppi. That oughta do it.
